I’m being facetious in the title.[1] But here are my favorite books that I read in 2017. They are in no particular order. That would be too difficult. If I could make you read just one book, however, it would be The Tech-Wise Family by Andy Crouch.
- John M. Perkins, Let Justice Roll Down
- William Lane Craig, Reasonable Faith
- Ben Sasse, The Vanishing American Adult
- Andy Crouch, The Tech-Wise Family
- Andrew T. Walker, God and the Transgender Debate
- Ishmael Beah, A Long Way Gone
- Tim Challies, Do More Better
- Nabeel Qureshi, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus
- Frank Turek, Stealing from God
- John S. Dickerson, The Great Evangelical Recession
Here are some contenders:
- Michael Behe, The Edge of Evolution
- Gregory Koukl, Tactics
- Grant Wacker, American’s Past: Billy Graham and the Shaping of a Nation
- Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
- Jeanette Walls, The Glass Castle
- Paul Copan, Is God a Moral Monster?
- Lee J. Beach, The Church in Exile
- Dennis Rainey, Preparing for Marriage
- Ravi Zacharias, Jesus Among Other Gods
- Ernest Cline, Ready Player One
In a future post, I will list out twenty of the books I plan to read in 2018.

[1] Books are somewhat personal and particular to the season of life that we are in. I like book lists. They can be helpful but I would never suggest someone just pick books to read from some list. There are too many books and too little days for an approach like that. Though, I would point you to the importance of reading old books (even though this was not an old books year for me).
